Which casinos are on the UK Gambling Commission blocked list in 2026?

The answer sits in a register, not a list.

IN SHORT

No casino is on a UK Gambling Commission blocked list, because the Commission does not publish one. Its public register shows every licensed business, and a suspended, revoked or surrendered licence appears there as a status. Fines sit in a separate register of regulatory actions. GAMSTOP blocks players, not casinos.

Does the Gambling Commission publish a list of blocked casinos?

No. Its five public registers cover gambling businesses, personal licences, regulatory actions, public statements and premises; none names blocked or unlicensed websites. Unlicensed sites are reported to search engines quietly: 276 vanished from results in April–June 2026. Only totals are published: any «UKGC blocked casinos» list elsewhere is someone else's.

How do I check a casino in the public register?

Every British licensee shows its account number in the footer, linked to the register:

  1. Find the line «… is licensed and regulated in Great Britain by the Gambling Commission under account number …».
  2. In a licence number such as 000422-R-336567-002, it is the first block minus leading zeros: 422.
  3. Search the business register for it.
  4. Check that «Casino, Remote» says Active and your domain is listed.

What do Suspended, Revoked and Surrendered mean?

On 11 October 2026 the register held 138 Active remote casino licences, one Suspended and four Revoked. Its own definitions:

RevokedAfter regulatory action or a breachFairbetter Limited, 12 December 2024
SurrenderedGiven up by the businessBresBet Ltd, 4 September 2026

Is a fined casino on the blocked list?

No: a penalty, however big, keeps the licence in place. Each operator below was fined and still held an Active remote casino licence on 11 October 2026:

How is GAMSTOP different from the register?

GAMSTOP blocks a person, not a casino. You choose 6 months to 5 years, and every site licensed in Great Britain must turn you away, a licence condition since 31 March 2020. Bank blocks reach further. If gambling stops being fun, see our responsible gambling page; our sources are on the editorial page.

What this page does not do

  • Name unlicensed casinos: the Commission publishes no such list, and we will not invent one.
  • Give legal advice: we quote the register and nothing more.

The public register allows you to see what type of activities gambling businesses can offer, and if we have ever taken any regulatory action against them.

Gambling Commission, «Make sure that the gambling business is licensed»checked 11 October 2026

So the nearest thing to a blocked list is the status line on each licence, not a list of names.

What else people ask

Which online casinos hold a UK Gambling Commission licence?

On 11 October 2026 the Commission's business register showed 138 businesses with an Active remote casino licence, declaring 494 active or white-label web addresses between them. The full register downloads as Excel or CSV files. To check one site, search for the account number in its footer and make sure the «Casino, Remote» row says Active.

What happens to my money if a casino's licence is suspended?

In the suspensions it published in 2026, the Commission said players could still log in and withdraw, and expected the operator to keep them informed. Withdraw promptly all the same: BresBet surrendered its licence a week after suspension, and on 30 September the Commission reported that some of its customers were struggling to get their money out.

Can a casino still operate after a UKGC fine?

Yes, unless the Commission also suspends or revokes the licence. Platinum Gaming was given a £10m penalty in October 2025, Videoslots £650,000 a month later and Petfre (Gibraltar) £900,000 in June 2026; all three still held an Active remote casino licence on 11 October 2026. The reasons stay on the regulatory actions register for anyone to read.

What are casinos not on GAMSTOP?

They are sites without a UK Gambling Commission licence. Every British licensee must check GAMSTOP and refuse anyone registered with it, so British rules on complaints, stakes and bonuses do not reach a site that skips the check. We do not list such sites; if you have self-excluded, a bank gambling block adds protection.

Is a surrendered licence the same as a revoked one?

No. In the register's own definitions, a revoked licence was withdrawn after regulatory action or a breach, while a surrendered one was given up by the business. Fairbetter Limited's licence was revoked after a decision of 12 December 2024; BresBet surrendered its licence on 4 September 2026, a week after the Commission suspended it.
